Zentralfriedhof
The Zentralfriedhof – central cemetery.
Probably my least favorite word in English – wouldn’t it make way more sense to spell it ‘cemetary’?
It’s a bit like Libya – that word hurts my eyes too.
Anyway – our main cemetery is huge! 2.4 square kilometers (590 acres), about 320,000 graves and a total of 3.3 million people buried here over the years.
That’s a lot of dead people.
